What can you expect in a Tax Analyst role with TaskUs:

The Tax Analyst is responsible for driving the company's finance compliance initiative in accordance with government and regulatory laws, rules, and regulations implemented by various government agencies such as but not limited to tax, transfer pricing, PEZA compliance, local government units, etc. You will support the finance compliance team's overall planning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of DST, FWT, WVAT, WTC, VAT, EWT, FBT, Income Tax, and Annual Information Returns to BIR. This includes preparation, filing, request for funding, and endorsement for payment of tax returns and its required attachments (alphalists and summary lists).
  • Prepare and/or submit other administrative compliances to BIR such as: attachments to Quarterly and Annual ITR, Books of Accounts, Donation notification, and Sworn Declaration of Vendors.
  • Assist in collation of documents and prepare reconciliation schedules as may be required during BIR audit and VAT refund application.
  • Perform month-end closing activities related to tax provision, tax reclass, and clean-up of tax GL accounts.
  • Compute for the quarterly and annual Income Tax provision.
  • Monitor tax GL accounts to ensure that they are reconciled with filed tax returns, and upload reconciliation schedules in FloQast.
  • Liaise with BIR on: various applications such as BIR COR update, company/branch registration/closure, and CAS permit; or tax inquiries, as may be necessary.
  • Participate in tax projects, and support other teams for any tax-related queries, requests, or reminders.
  • Assist in the preparation of Tax Notes in AFS, and General Form Financial Statements. This also includes the uploading of AFS and GFFS in SEC eFAST portal.
  • Other ad hoc activities such as tax files archiving, maintaining/writing in looseleaf SI/AR if needed, coordination with consultant on engagement-related matters, among others.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance.
  • With at least 3 years of relevant work experience in tax, PEZA/BIR and government compliance, BOI/SEC/BOC requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting standards and rules.
  • Has good planning and organizational skills, attentive to details, assertive, and project management skills.
  • Basic knowledge in Oracle, SAP, or other major ERP is preferred but not required.
  • Willing to travel to different government agencies when needed.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance.

  • WFH (8AM-5PM PH Time).
