We are looking for an experienced Technical Buyer to handle sourcing, purchasing, and supplier coordination for construction and engineering projects. The ideal candidate will ensure timely procurement, competitive pricing, and compliance with technical specifications and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate suppliers and contractors, negotiate prices, and secure favorable purchasing terms.
- Prepare and process purchase requests, purchase orders, canvass reports, and other procurement documents.
- Monitor delivery schedules to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and warehouse personnel to meet project requirements.
- Verify that purchased materials and equipment meet technical specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and purchasing documentation.
- Assist in cost control, budget monitoring, and procurement reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and project deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- At least 3–4 years of experience in procurement or purchasing.
- Must have experience in the construction or engineering industry.
- Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, suppliers, and prevailing market prices.
- Strong negotiation, communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and procurement documentation.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
