Warehouse Assistant

Leads and oversees warehouse picking operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company standards in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the team of case pickers and loose pickers in the performance of their tasks.
• Delegating tasks to case pickers, loose pickers, UPC checkers, weighers, packers, pre-checkers, and routers.
• Overseeing the entire operations of case pick, simple and loose transactions, and pre-checking for both aircon and ambient areas (from loose pick to routing).
• Ensuring items, quantity, batch number, and handling unit are picked accurately in the specified location as dictated by the system.
• Ensuring the "This Side Up" position in packing is followed.
• Ensuring handling units for loose picks, shipment labels for full cases, and license plates for case picks are printed and affixed accordingly.
• Ensuring accurate weight is captured during the weighing activity.
• Ensuring proper staging of picked loose boxes and full cases as dictated by the system.
• Ensuring the DO reference is written in the picked full case.
• Monitoring the output performance of each agency-based employee.
• Assisting in investigating and resolving lacking, excess, and wrong items served through process enhancement if needed.
• Training people and support groups before deployment in pre-check, case pick, and loose pick areas to minimize errors causing operational delays.
• Monitoring pending tasks based on initial and final pre-alerts sent by FMC and prioritizing them in picking, UPC checking, and pre-check activities.
• Monitoring tasks not automatically posted due to item deficit and coordinating with Inventory Management for immediate resolution.
• Monitoring tasks not interfaced from SAP to WCS and coordinating deviations with the UL-CIT group for immediate resolution.
• Reporting discrepancies to the Outbound Supervisor for resolution.
• Coordinating with Planners and the Immediate Supervisor for resolution.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A graduate Degree from any 4-year course.
• Preferably relevant experience in Logistics/Warehouse Operations.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Knowledge of warehouse utilization.
