Senior Software Engineer (Automotive Vulnerability Management)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining a critical component of our vulnerability management product by sourcing various types of cybersecurity information globally and transforming it into valuable insights for our customers.

Job Responsibilities:

Research:

  1. Understand the structure of different types of data and define the best approach to source and normalize data to meet product needs.

Development:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain the cybersecurity information knowledge base for the vulnerability management product.
  2. Design, develop, and maintain applications around the knowledge base, handling input from various sources and output for product features.
  3. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Docker, Git, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.
  4. Establish and maintain good software engineering practices such as code reviews, unit testing, and version control strategies.
  5. Utilize AWS cloud services to deploy and manage applications.
  6. Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
  7. Work independently with minimal supervision, taking ownership of projects and delivering high-quality results.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. At least 7 years of experience as a software engineer.
  3. Proven experience with a strong understanding of Python, databases, and REST APIs.
  4. Proven hands-on experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  5. Proficiency in AWS or other cloud services, and familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, and other cloud-native development practices and tools.
  6. Proven experience working in an agile and fast-paced environment.
  7. Excellent problem-solving skills.
  8. Strong communication and leadership skills, with a passion for mentoring junior engineers.
  9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred (Optional) Skills:

  1. Experience in software development in the automotive industry.
  2. Experience in building AI applications.
