What is the job?
The Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for hands-on management of accounting operations, financial close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and accounting process improvements for a U.S. based organization.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including GL, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, AP/AR, and financial schedules.
- Own weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate U.S. GAAP reporting.
- Prepare financial statements, flash reports, account analyses, and investor-ready financial support.
- Manage inventory accounting, product loss reserves, trade spend, distributor deductions, and other inventory-related accounting activities.
- Improve accounting processes, controls, automation, and reporting using Business Central, AI tools, and integrated financial systems.
- Partner with the CFO and leadership on financial matters, provide accounting guidance, and support team growth and training.
Qualifications:
- Experience supporting U.S. based financial reporting and audit requirements.
- Experience managing accounting operations and month-end close.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of U.S. GAAP accounting experience as a controller, assistant controller, or in a comparable role running a full accounting function.
- Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience.
