In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Work with strategic procurement colleagues to develop new supply sources to support existing and new product requirements.
  • Develop and implement spend management strategies, including supplier assessments, rationalization, and negotiation for the best total cost of ownership.
  • Prepare, co-develop, and review the reverse auction process with Commodity Managers, including detailed bid information, analysis of detailed results, negotiation, and execution of contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
  • Propose to management on a continuing basis to include commodity cost trends, material availability, production options, and alternatives.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external legal counsel.
  • Ensure up-to-date and manage changes in the procurement database.

You have a strong drive for results and exhibit passion and enthusiasm to get things done. You're a proactive self-starter with a strong sense of urgency in meeting tasks and deadlines. You can proficiently communicate ideas, collaborate, and efficiently work with people at any level.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Purchasing, or other Engineering/Management-related courses.
  • At least 3.5 years of relevant experience in Procurement function in the manufacturing industry or supply chain role in the shared services industry.
  • Knowledgeable in mechanical and electrical/electronic commodities.
  • Knowledgeable in environmental legislations (e.g., ROHS, REACH, etc.).
  • Fair degree of understanding in the field of Supply Chain and knowledge of Project Management.
  • Basic understanding of procurement systems and tools (ERP, MRP, SRM).
  • Basic understanding of Online Reverse Auction.
