PACS/RIS Engineer

Set-up and Location: ONSITE| Ortigas, Alabang, Pampanga, or Cebu

Work Schedule: 9:00AM to 6:00PM (NZST) | 5:00AM to 2:00PM (PH)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day support and administration of PACS, RIS, and associated healthcare imaging applications.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve application, database, interface, network, and operating system issues.
• Support the implementation, configuration, testing, and deployment of new PACS and RIS environments.
• Manage and troubleshoot HL7 interfaces between RIS, PACS, HIS/EMR, and other clinical systems.
• Support DICOM workflows, including modality worklists, image transmission, and integration troubleshooting.
• Administer Oracle and SQL databases, including performance monitoring, troubleshooting, backup, and recovery activities.
• Maintain Windows Server and Linux environments, ensuring system reliability, security, and operational performance.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar technologies.
• Perform network troubleshooting across TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, ports, and connectivity-related issues.
• Participate in system upgrades, migrations, integrations, and ongoing platform enhancements.
• Assist in resolving critical incidents and outages within a clinical and healthcare environment.
• Collaborate with hospital IT teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operation of clinical systems.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support knowledge bases.
• Support virtualization, cloud, monitoring, and security technologies as required.
• Follow change management, cybersecurity, and healthcare interoperability standards.
• Take ownership of issues from diagnosis through resolution while ensuring high levels of customer service and system availability.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of major PACS replacement and healthcare technology implementation projects.

Requirements

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who:

• Oracle Database administration (Oracle DBA) – SQL, performance tuning, backup/recovery, troubleshooting
• HL7 – particularly HL7 v2.x, ADT, ORM, ORU and interface troubleshooting
• DICOM – modality/worklist, C-STORE, C-FIND, C-MOVE, DICOM troubleshooting
• Scripting/automation – PowerShell, Python, Bash or similar
• Windows Server – administration, troubleshooting and services
• Networking – TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, ports and network troubleshooting
• PACS/RIS – experience supporting radiology workflows and systems
• SQL – strong SQL skills and database troubleshooting
• Troubleshooting – ability to diagnose issues across application, database, interface, network and operating-system layers
• Linux Administration – installation, patching, and general administration
• Healthcare-specific experience
• PACS and RIS environments
• Radiology workflows
• DICOM modalities and modality worklists
• HL7 interfaces between RIS, PACS, HIS/EMR and other clinical systems
• Understanding of patient demographics and order/result workflows
• Healthcare interoperability standards
• Experience working in a 24×7 clinical environment would be a big advantage
• Understanding of clinical system availability, change control and incident management
