Summary:

As an Accounting Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial activities and ensuring the organization's financial records' accuracy and integrity. You will manage and guide a team of professional accountants and coordinate financial processes to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, support, and feedback.
  2. Oversee and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  3. Review and analyze financial data, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  4. Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to maintain the integrity of financial records and ensure compliance with accounting regulations.
  5. Coordinate and assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  6. Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately and by accounting principles.
  7. Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing any audit findings.
  8. Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports for management and stakeholders.
  9. Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance with new accounting standards.
  10. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities for the accounting team.
  11. Create training manuals/SOP for new and existing accounting processes.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  2. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) qualification preferred.
  3. Proven experience as an Accounting Supervisor or similar role, with a background in financial reporting and analysis.
  4. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  5. Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks and Buildium.
  6. Strong understanding of internal controls and financial management processes.
  7. Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  8. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  9. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to identify and address financial issues and discrepancies.
  10. Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  11. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  12. Strong leadership and management skills to effectively supervise and motivate a team.
