Job Summary

The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives that enhance the R.O.X. retail brand, drive customer engagement, and deliver measurable business results. This role focuses on creating a cohesive and memorable retail experience by optimizing touchpoints, managing marketing budgets, and leveraging insights to craft innovative campaigns.

Additionally, the Marketing Manager collaborates with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment with the company's mission and vision while driving both brand equity and revenue growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

Revenue Growth & Marketing ROI
  1. Sets and monitors the retail marketing budget, ensuring alignment with business plans and adherence to approved expenditures.
  2. Presents pre-post-promotion or in-store activation and campaign evaluations, highlighting effectiveness, ROI, and recommendations for improvement.
  3. Drives strategic marketing efforts to maximize sales performance and deliver tangible business results.
Retail Brand Strategy & Development
  1. Responsible for developing and supervising all retail marketing and shopper communication strategies for R.O.X. brands.
  2. Create strong, media-neutral communication ideas and effective media plans in coordination with departments and advertising/PR agencies/Digital Marketing.
  3. Monitor competitors' activities to ensure R.O.X. remains a leader in the market. Provide action plans in close coordination with the AVP, Head of SBU – ROX.
  4. Champions new store development, openings, and developmental stores in close collaboration with the Sales and Operations team.
Retail Experience (Touchpoints, Visual & Communications)
  1. Develops and manages "Experiential Zones" through sponsored High Profile Promotions within stores, enhancing the customer experience while creating additional revenue opportunities through vendor partnerships.
  2. Manages retail marketing spending and works with vendors and agencies to create and localize impactful marketing initiatives.
  3. Ensures seamless execution of campaigns, enhancing customer experience at every retail touchpoint through compelling visuals and communications.
  4. Evaluates and adopts technology to develop, implement, and optimize digital marketing campaigns and social media strategies across all channels in close coordination with the Community and Digital Marketing and Agency team of ROX.
Manage and Grow the R.O.X. In-House Brands
  1. Develops strategic initiatives to expand the footprint and impact of in-house brands within the R.O.X portfolio.
  2. Conducts a regular distribution mapping activity in collaboration with the Merchandising Team.
  3. Monitors brand performance and implements targeted campaigns to strengthen in-house brand equity and customer engagement.
Customer Lifecycle
  1. Drives the retail brand awareness, acquisition, purchase, loyalty, and advocacy by developing strategies and execution playbook.
  2. Collaborates with sales and marketing representatives to fully understand product needs and communication strategies for customer engagement.
  3. Conducts and analyzes customer survey results, demographics, and feedback data to develop innovative marketing strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Market Insights and Research
  1. Regularly monitors retail market trends, customer and shopper behaviors, and industry developments to inform and enhance marketing strategies.
  2. Conducts research and analyzes customer feedback to improve product-market alignment and create customer-centric initiatives.
LSM / Marketing Activations
  1. Drives the execution of localized store marketing (LSM) campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and local market dynamics.
  2. Trains and engages concerned parties to implement campaigns effectively and achieve desired business outcomes.
  3. Develops and drives the LSM Canned programs to boost key retail metrics – Foot Traffic, Conversion, and spend.
People Management
  1. Trains and evaluates new and existing staff to ensure competency and alignment with organizational goals.
  2. Leads regular team meetings to communicate expectations, address concerns, and assess program progress.
  3. Monitors team compliance with company policies and ensures smooth daily operations of the merchandising department.
  4. Provides Training and Development Plans for the direct reports.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a retail marketing or similar role; with people management experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful marketing campaigns that drive sales and footfall.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret customer data and market trends.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to develop innovative marketing ideas.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest retail marketing trends and best practices.
