Technical Writer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Documentation Creation:

• Develop, write, and maintain detailed user manuals for customers and operators using the gaming platform, including sports betting, e-casino, and gaming products.

• Create comprehensive back-office manuals for administrators, detailing platform management, reporting tools, and other administrative functions.

• Write step-by-step guides, FAQs, and troubleshooting documents to assist users with common issues.

2. Collaboration with Stakeholders:

• Work closely with software developers, product managers, and the customer support team to gather detailed information about new features and platform updates.

• Participate in product meetings and gather technical requirements to ensure documentation is in line with platform functionality and business objectives.

• Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to ensure that documentation aligns with regulatory requirements in the gaming industry.

3. Content Management:

• Organize and manage documentation repositories, ensuring all materials are easy to access and regularly updated.

• Ensure consistency and accuracy of terminology and style across all manuals and guides, following internal documentation standards.

• Use version control to track changes in documentation and ensure up-to-date information is available to internal and external users.

4. Platform Testing and Feedback Integration:

• Test platform features to understand how they work from a user perspective, ensuring accuracy in documentation.

• Gather feedback from users, operators, and administrators on the effectiveness of manuals and guides, and update content accordingly.

• Use analytics tools to monitor how documentation is being used and identify areas where additional clarity may be needed.

5. Back Office and User Interfaces:

• Document detailed instructions for back office users, including platform configuration, transaction monitoring, reporting, and user management processes.

• Provide clear guidance on navigating user interfaces (UI) for both front-end customers and back office operators.

• Explain complex workflows, system processes, and technical terms in an easy-to-understand manner, tailoring content to the specific audience.

6. Compliance and Regulatory Documentation:

• Write and update technical documentation to ensure that it meets industry regulations and best practices.

• Provide clear instructions on regulatory reporting processes, including how to generate and interpret reports required by gambling authorities.

• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure documentation complies with local and international gaming regulations.

7. Multimedia Documentation:

• Create or collaborate on multimedia content (e.g., video tutorials, screen recordings, infographics) to complement written documentation and enhance user understanding.

• Ensure that all visual aids, such as screenshots or diagrams, are current and match the platform's interface.

8. Training and Support Documentation:

• Develop training materials for internal staff and external users, including onboarding documents, quick-start guides, and reference materials.

• Support customer service and training teams by providing them with clear documentation to assist in resolving user issues efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in the gaming or gambling industry.

• Proven experience in writing user and back-office manuals for complex software platforms.

• Familiarity with gambling platforms, sports betting, e-casino products, or gaming-related technologies.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise documentation.

Key Competencies:

• Proficiency with documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Confluence, or similar.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously.

• Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to ensure accuracy in all deliverables.

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, or other web-based languages is a plus.

• Ability to adapt writing style to suit different audiences, including non-technical users, administrators, and regulatory bodies.
