We are proud to be partnering with one of the most recognised and respected names in the global airline industry as they continue to enhance and modernise their digital and technology capabilities.They are looking for a NodeJS Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Manager who will lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, high-performance backend systems and APIs. Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of backend services and APIs using and NestJS

  • Define and enforce best practices in system architecture, secure coding, and database integration

  • Work closely with DevOps and Agile teams on CI/CD pipelines, system design, and deployments

  • Conduct code reviews, unit/integration testing, and maintain high code quality standards

  • Stay ahead of backend technology trends and continuously improve performance and reliability

Requirements

  • Strong experience with , NestJS, TypeScript, and JavaScript

  • Solid background in microservices architecture, distributed systems, and RESTful APIs (GraphQL is a plus)

  • Proficient in working with SQL and NoSQL databases, caching, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure

  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record in Agile environments
