JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Accountant will support the work of the General Ledger team and supervise/review the work of Junior Accountants. The role may be assigned specific finance projects or initiatives and assist in the monthly reporting requirements of the team. To develop a holistic understanding of financial reporting and the close process, the role may be assigned to various processes within FSSC. This will involve coordination with local finance on outstanding variances and making the appropriate action to resolve them.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Line Management:

  1. Primary liaison with BU Finance team/CFO regarding the General Ledger and issues relating to the accounts.
  2. Preparation of monthly financial statements and supplementary schedules for assigned Business Units.
  3. Coordination of the month-end activities.
  4. Preparation of necessary standard and recurring journal entries.
  5. Leading general accounting preparatory activities for month-end closing.
  6. Reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and preparing supporting analysis and schedules.
  7. Coordination of Intercompany Receivables and Payables.
  8. Initial review of the financial results and initiating necessary corrective actions.
  9. Reconciling inventory records vis-à-vis the general ledger.
  10. Coordinating the monthly results with the assigned Business Unit.
  11. Review accounting transactions and recommend procedural and systems improvements for improved efficiency.
  12. Maintenance of fixed assets books, including tax books.
  13. Attends to regular reports that will support FSSC and BU Finance.
  14. Responsible for the Daily Bank Reconciliation of the assigned BUs accounts.
  15. Ensures that the reconciling items in the bank reconciliation are monitored and followed up.
  16. Reconciles and checks Intercompany Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable on a monthly basis.
  17. Other related duties which may be assigned by immediate superior.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Must Have:

  1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy; advantage is given to CPAs.
  2. At least 5 years audit and/or financial accounting-related work experience.
  3. Has above average computer literacy, especially in the use of Excel applications, and has experience working on a comprehensive ERP system.
  4. Experience working under a Shared Services company.
  5. Should have excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  6. High degree of initiative and able to work with the least supervision.
  7. A team player who can motivate other team members.
  8. Proven ability to work under pressure and multitask.
  9. Be able to work in a structured environment.
  10. Proven ability to work under pressure.
  11. Have worked in an international and culturally diverse organization.
  12. Experience in using ERP systems, preferably in MS Dynamics D365 or equivalent.
  13. Experience in a Shared Services environment or in a multinational organization.
