Schedule: Monday – Friday (09:00 AM - 05:00 PM AEST)
What are we looking for?
Skills Required:
- 5 years minimum experience in retail store planning projects is essential.
- Formal qualifications in Architecture, Drafting or related is essential.
- Experience in retail construction and a strong understanding of Retail Operational requirements.
- Software Proficient- AutoCAD
- Strong design and documentation skills.
- Ability to work with consultants and contractors to achieve required results on all projects.
- Strong written and oral communication.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

What will you do?
- Produce fully detailed drawing layouts for new and refurbished stores incorporating all business function and Design Brief requirements for the purpose of sign-off.
- Responsible for the management of all drawing files, design detailing and the issuing of drawings to and from external consultations from the planning stage right through to store opening.
- Support Construction and Fit out Project Managers to ensure that all drawing, design and detail issues are addressed during the planning and construction phase of the project.
- Be able to manage multiple tasks to achieve deadlines.
- Design Detailing: Document planning, documentation and construction details as required for live projects. Prepare drawings for tendering purposes.
- Drawing Management: Maintain all CAD drawing files on network drive and ensure that drawings are continually backed-up. Ensure that a comprehensive drawing register is maintained for the transmittal of CAD drawings. Maintain a generic layouts and standards detailed in the Design Brief.
- Generic Drawing Ownership: Maintain the generic Officeworks drawings to ensure that they are up to date with all new standard and the Design Brief.
- Work with internal departments and nominated consultants to ensure that the generic drawings contain all current standards.
- Site condition Auditing and As-Built Documentation: Carry out comprehensive existing condition reports when required. Carry out post implementation reviews on all project documentation versus as built, for local stores.
- Project Management Support: Act as a support role to the Design and Project Management Team.
