We are looking for:

A new, full-time remote team member who is a very passionate, talented and experienced Full-Stack WordPress Developer looking for a new career with a well-established Canadian digital web agency.

As a Full-Stack WordPress Developer at Wisevu, you will play a key role in building and maintaining high-performance, secure, and user-friendly Wordpress websites for our clients. You will work closely with other developers, designers, project managers, and clients to understand their needs and translate them into innovative and effective solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites and plugins using best practices.
  • Optimize website performance and ensure responsiveness across all devices.
  • Write efficient, maintainable, and reusable code.
  • Collaborate with designers to convert designs into responsive web pages.
  • Optimize website performance and ensure adherence to SEO best practices.
  • Implement APIs and integrate third-party solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise with client websites.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest WordPress trends, technologies, and security best practices.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the team by sharing knowledge and mentoring junior developers.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Full-Stack WordPress Developer.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of WordPress development, including custom theme and plugin development.
  • In-depth knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and SQL.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Good understanding of SEO best practices as it pertains to web development.

Additional Skills:

  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Technological Requirements:

  • A distraction-free workspace for remote work.
  • Reliable internet connection with download speed of at least 30 Mbps and upload speed of at least 10 Mbps.

Work Timings:

  • Able to provide at least 6 hours of overlap with the 9am-5pm EST workday (Monday - Friday).
  • 1 Flex Day Per Week to work at your own schedule.
