The Trader is responsible for bidding the electricity output of AboitizPower's Generation Assets into the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) and/or directly to the Customer recipients (in the case of Mindanao), on an hourly, day-ahead, week-ahead, and real-time basis, with concurrence to the overall strategy approved by Trading Manager, VP for Trading, and FVP of Energy Trading and Sales Department. The Trader's offer/action is subject to the shift Senior Trader's guidance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or any 4-year business course
  • At least 2 years' experience in the power industry preferably in electricity trading (Fresh graduates may also be considered if with excellent scholastic performance)
  • Knowledge of WESM and client business processes
  • Analytical skills in terms of competitive market behavior for bidding purposes
  • Knowledge of market data and competitive offers in the market for competitive bidding
  • Knowledge of computer systems
