BI Analyst, Level 1 (Remote)

We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to join our remote team and help drive data‑centric decisions across our cybersecurity platform. This role offers a collaborative environment, career growth opportunities, and the chance to work on cutting‑edge phishing detection and response solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and client‑facing reports.
  • Retrieve, aggregate, and transform data from multiple sources into actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with departmental teams to consult, develop, and implement dashboard reporting.
  • Ensure all deliverables are accurate, error‑free, and meet client expectations.
  • Support graphical reporting enhancements to better communicate the value of the Cofense solution.
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while working independently.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and set realistic completion expectations.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager, BI Development.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of industry experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related position.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data to back up assumptions.
  • Experience with analytical tools—preferably Power BI, with additional experience in Tableau.
  • 1+ year of Python and/or SQL programming, manipulating data sets in a database.
  • 1+ year of intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience handling large data sets across disparate database platforms.
  • Proven ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into actionable insights.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong problem‑solving skills, and a graphic‑design orientation.
  • Self‑starter who is comfortable working independently and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong data presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal business users.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Data Sciences, or equivalent experience in a related field.
