Key Responsibilities
- Installation and Setup: Mount cameras, run cables (coaxial, fiber, or network wires), and set up hardware like monitors, NVRs (network video recorders), and DVRs (digital video recorders).
- Configuration and Programming: Connect systems to computer networks, set IP addresses, adjust camera angles, and program recording schedules or motion detection.
- Maintenance and Testing: Inspect equipment regularly, run system tests, and update firmware or software to prevent security gaps.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose signal loss, broken cameras, or wiring faults and replace damaged parts quickly.
- Client Support and Training: Teach users or security staff how to operate the monitoring software, retrieve footage, and manage storage policies.
