Located in the country's premier beach destination, Shangri-La's Boracay Resort and Spa is a luxurious and serene haven for vacationers. Dramatically situated on a hillside in a flourishing nature reserve at the northern tip of Boracay Island, the 12-hectare resort is a 10-minute drive from the popular White Beach. The resort offers 219 rooms including 36 villas and suites; comprehensive leisure facilities; 350 meters of secluded beach front; and a thriving ecosystem of diverse flora and fauna. Within the resort, guests may find a tranquil escape in Chi, The Spa.

Duties

As Director of Sales, we rely on you to:
  1. Work in coordination with DOSM to produce the annual Marketing Plan and Budget.
  2. Implement all sales action plans related to his/her market areas as outlined in the marketing plans.
  3. Direct and administer the sales program of the hotel.
  4. Attend primary travel functions (i.e. trade shows and promotional events), and organize familiarization trips, trade shows, and exhibitions.
  5. Research new sources of business within the three main market segments (Corporate, MICE, Tour Operators).
  6. Control public space to maximize group revenues.
  7. Carry out sales activities.
  8. Create and control monthly sales statistics and reports.
  9. Maintain a high level of exposure for the hotel in major market areas through direct sales solicitation, telephone, fax, telex contacts, and written communication.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 4 years in the capacity of Sales Manager with multi-segment responsibilities.
  2. Overseas Trade Show participation.
  3. Sales experience covering multiple segments - Travel, Corporate, MICE.
  4. Currently in a leadership role, managing people.
  5. Participated in the Marketing Plan/Budget development and implementation.
  6. Proficient in English, written and oral.
  7. Self-starter.
  8. Tactful and sensitive to guest needs.
  9. Goal-oriented.
  10. Organization and planning skills.
  11. Aggressive.
  12. Budget & Forecasting skills.
