The Demand & Supply Planner position is responsible for forecasting activities associated with all products maintained in inventory. The role creates and maintains the forecast models incorporating sales forecast, actual sales and inventory data gathered from Marketing, Accounting and Logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Develops demand forecast for all inventory items under each business unit of CCPI.
  • Reviews historical sales data and warehouse inventory data per SKU item.
  • Closely coordinates with the Marketing Department on the regular review and update of the sales forecasts for each SKU item.
  • Analyzes actual sales against sales forecast per SKU item. Coordinates with Marketing to reconcile significant variances and to refine the forecast model to reflect updated forecast results.
  • Interfaces with Marketing team to understand demand forecast drivers.
  • Regularly reviews latest estimates (LE) and recommends adjustments in sales forecasts whenever necessary.
  • Uses and maintains the demand planning application as the primary forecasting system tool.
  • Stays informed of all new products and promotions. Sees to it that there is sufficient stock in the warehouse to support Marketing's promo programs.
  • Ensures that inventory items reaching reorder level are immediately replenished. Initiates preparation of Purchase Requisition (PR) to cover SKU items for reorder.
  • Recommends refinement in the systems and methods to continually improve forecasts sot that the business unit can better anticipate market demand and customer needs.
  • Coordinates with Purchasing Department and Import/Export Services Department on the status of pending Purchase Requisition (PR), Purchase Order (PO) and incoming shipments.
  • Undertakes ABC analysis of inventory items. Ensures that there are sufficient stocks of fast-moving items.
  • Provides management with accurate inventory information to help make decision related but not limited to:
    o Inventory level per SKU (minimum, maximum and reorder levels)
    o Critical Stocks
    o Stock Availability per location
  • Regularly provides the Marketing Department with a list of slow-moving and non-moving SKU items for disposition.
  • Closely monitors expiration of inventory items. Provides BU Heads, Supply Chain Head, Marketing, and
  • Accounting with a regular report on inventory items nearing expiration (6 months and less) for disposition.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by his / her superior from time to times.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four (4) to five (5) years work experience in supply chain preferably in the field of inventory or demand planning from FMCG / Third Party Distributors / Retail Industry.
  • The candidate must have good knowledge of the principles and process on demand planning, materials requirement planning and inventory management.
  • Must possess a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or any Business course.
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience in the use of SAP, AX, or related systems is an advantage.
