Title: Financial Planning & Analysis Officer

Financial Planning & Analysis Officer will be Reporting to EMEAA Head of Finance, Controls, & Compliance, the role will be the finance lead for the EMEAA assigned market. The position will oversee the full spectrum of finance portfolio.

Responsibilities include overseeing consolidation of monthly/yearly financial close processes, financial and management reporting, cash management, budgeting & forecasting, financial planning & analysis, and 18-month rolling forecast. He / She will also oversee market planning process, internal control management, and project evaluation.

The role is expected to establish and maintain processes, procedures, and standards, and be involved in the development and implementation of Continuous Improvement Initiatives. This includes maintaining excellent service levels while driving the continuous improvement of systems and processes that are critical for financial operations, including month-end processes.

He / She will work closely with Jollibee Market Heads as well as Jollibee Country leadership team in driving effective & efficient financial reporting and analysis to support business performance and expansion plans. As Market Finance [Senior Manager / Manager / Officer], he / she will also provide commercial insights and advice to support business stakeholders in achieving business KPIs and targets, as well as drive change management.

KRA 1: CONTROLLERSHIP

ACCOUNTING

  1. Reviews the Management Reports; ensures timely and accurate consolidation of submission to Regional/Global Management.
  2. Reviews the Balance Sheet and Nominal Account analysis and ensures the timely disposition on reconciling items or errors.
  3. Ensures compliance to local market Accounting Standards and aligns to the International Accounting Standards (IAS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  4. Provides guidance to ensure that all company assets have proper guardrails and existing policies are set up and implemented in terms of acquisition, payment, and disposal.
  5. Monitors compliance to year-end audit of external auditors.

FINANCIAL POLICY DEVELOPMENT

  1. Develops, reviews, revises, and recommends improvement in both operational and financial policies and procedures.
  2. Ensures that efficient and effective policies and procedures are set up and followed to properly manage compliance.

BUDGET MANAGEMENT

  1. Checks, reviews, monitors all reimbursement, CAPEX acquisition and other requests of operations or support group as approved by the General Manager / Market Head.
  2. Monitors and analyzes monthly budget spending to ensure that all expenditures are within the set budget.
  3. Analyzes company operations costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company's actual performance compared to the business plans.
  4. Conducts reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities for operations and support units.
  5. Provides business intelligence in financial reports, that will lead to data-based strategic decision making.
  6. Shared ownership with local finance head on the overall cashflow management.
  7. Actively lead financial aspect on any relevant ad-hoc projects involving Operations and the Support Group.

KRA 3: Business Planning

  1. Provides company-driven guidance on the financial aspect in meetings for strategic decision-making, including the setting of long-term goals, development of organizational and financial strategies, and decisions regarding programs that affect the organization.
  2. Spearheads the preparation of the Strategic and Annual Operating and Capital Budgets for EMEAA assigned Market, including the stores, covering Sales, Store Profit & Loss, Store Expansion/Closure Plans.
  3. Partners with EMEAA Head of Finance in establishing financial and operating budgets, programs, and standards.
  4. Oversees budget process. Conducts budget review and finalization for each store / department.
  5. Checks budget guidelines and reports. Disseminates to the concerned store or department including budget adjustment or changes.
  6. Provides relevant business insights on the result of the EMEAA Market performance.
  7. Reviews all market assigned business reports including but not limited to Sales Reports, Profit & Loss Statements, Admin Expense Reports, CAPEX reports, OPEX Reports etc.
  8. Tracks profitability and Return on Invested Capital (ROIC) of stores.
  9. Maintains confidential database such as store/country sales, profits and other expense related activities or items.
  10. Benchmarks and provides recommendation to the business on managing the company's finances and assets.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  1. At least three to five (3-5) years' experience in Finance, Accounting, Corporate Planning, and/or Audit in similar industries and/or multinational corporations.
  2. Relevant exposure to financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
  3. Gathered, collated, and generated sound financial data analytics to respective stakeholder / leaders that was used to generate operational efficiency and/or changes to improve controls.

Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) is desirable.

General Soft Skills

  1. Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  2. Proficiency in financial modeling and use of financial software (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).
  3. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis.
  4. Good communication and presentation skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
