Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Attending Consultant in Respiratory Medicine with at least two years of post-PG experience to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide expert care in the diagnosis and management of respiratory diseases, including acute and chronic conditions.

Role & responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive respiratory care for patients with conditions such as asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, lung cancer, tuberculosis, and sleep-related breathing disorders.
  • Conduct daily ward rounds and manage inpatients in respiratory wards and intensive care settings.
  • Lead and manage outpatient clinics, including specialized clinics (e.g., asthma, ILD, TB, smoking cessation).
  • Interpret and report pulmonary function tests, radiological imaging, and sleep studies.
  • Perform and supervise procedures such as bronchoscopy, thoracentesis, and pleural biopsies.
  • Engage in teaching activities for junior medical staff, nurses, and allied health professionals.
  • Contribute to clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives, and research activities.
  • Participate in on-call respiratory service rota as required.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and national standards.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Degree in Respiratory Medicine.
  • Specialized training in Respiratory Medicine or Pulmonology.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience Post PG.
  • Valid Delhi Medical Council registration is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in interpreting pulmonary investigations and managing complex respiratory cases.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
