About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team at Packwell Process Center Inc. in Pasig City, Metro Manila. As a Junior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall accounting operations of our company. This is a full-time position on a NIGHT SHIFT operation with opportunities for growth and development within our dynamic organization.

This position will be based at Packwell Processing Center, Inc. (PPC) in Pasig City, Philippines and will report to the Chief Financial Officer based in Houston, TX with dotted line to the Senior Accountants based at PPC. This position will be responsible for certain financial operations of Packwell and its various Affiliates. As the Junior Accountant, you will contribute directly to achieving the financial strategy of Packwell and Affiliates by being responsible for billings, accounts payable activities, and other tasks as delegated. You will be a very "operationally minded" accounting professional with a customer centric attitude towards internal and external customers.

This is a night job. Interviews will be conducted between 6PM to 8PM (EVENING) Mondays to Fridays including Philippine Holidays. Please do not send application if you are not residing in Metro Manila and cannot attend interview on site.

What you'll be doing

Primary tasks

  • Perform 3-way matching of PO based vendor invoices.
  • Prepare, raise, get approval, and record customer billings.
  • Vouch vendor invoices in AP module of Sage.
  • Record non-AP payments (Electronic payments and fees) in Sage.
  • Record customer invoices in AR module of Sage.
  • Record customer payments in Cash receipts module of Sage.
  • Cause to offset AR and Deposit of ICAI weekly.
  • Keep Cash Flow Worksheets updated daily for all Cash Receipts and Disbursements. Reconcile weekly and monthly the Sage Cash GL accounts to CF Spreadsheet.
  • Distribute Report.
  • Distribute AR Aging Report weekly.
  • Email Customer AR Statements weekly to collect delinquent AR.
  • Run and analyze billings report.
  • Update Benefits Invoices for payroll recordation.

Monthly Closing

  • Reconcile Intercompany accounts.
  • Reconcile Bank accounts.
  • Assist in month end close tasks.

Financial and Management Reporting

  • Assist to prepare Graphs and Charts in Excel.
  • Assist to analyze monthly financial results.
  • Assist to analyze financial KPI's.
  • Assist to Compile Costing Models, Labor cost template (API), and Operational KPI's.
  • Distribute Treasury Reports.

Cost Accounting / Inventory (in an assistance role)

  • Assist in cost accounting functions.
  • Assist to account for Inventory, raw material, and WIP.
  • Assist to analyze operational KPI's.
  • Assist to review variances, inventories, shipments, and manufacturing / maintenance department expenses.
  • Assist to analyze overtime and labor performance.

Process Documentations and Internal Controls

  • Assist to ensure every task performed in Accounting / Finance is well documented with detailed steps, flow charts, and/or narratives for cross training purposes.

Payroll & Labor costs

  • Assist to record Payroll.

Other Tasks:

  • Other projects and research as delegated.
