• Supervise daily accounting operations including management of the general ledger, disbursements, reconciliations, and maintenance of accurate books and records across all financial levels.
• Prepare and review comprehensive financial statements in full compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and all relevant regulatory standards to ensure transparency and accuracy.
• Ensure timely and precise filing of tax returns as well as regulatory disclosures required by local authorities such as SEC, BIR, and BSP.
• Coordinate statutory audits by leading audit preparations, addressing auditor queries promptly, and ensuring completion within set deadlines.
• Monitor ongoing compliance with all applicable SEC, BIR, and BSP regulations while proactively identifying areas for improvement or risk mitigation.
• Support treasury and trading operations by providing accurate financial data analysis and detailed reporting tailored to business needs.
• Develop robust tax planning strategies that align with organisational goals while ensuring proper documentation for all tax-related matters.
• Perform regular reconciliation of general ledger accounts by investigating discrepancies thoroughly and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams including finance analysts as well as external auditors and regulators to uphold financial integrity at every level.
• Lead the accounting team by fostering a culture of cooperation, dependability, open communication, and shared responsibility for achieving departmental objectives.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licence is required along with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degree from a recognised institution.
• Demonstrated experience spanning 6-10 years in accounting roles with at least 3-5 years specifically within banking or investment banking environments.
• Proven exposure to treasury trading activities or back office functions related to investment banking operations is highly desirable.
• Comprehensive understanding of IFRS, GAAP standards as well as bank-specific accounting practices is essential for success in this role.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with Bloomberg or similar financial systems would be advantageous.
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong organisational and analytical skills to manage multiple priorities and resolve complex compliance matters.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear collaboration across departments and with external stakeholders such as auditors or regulators.
• High level of integrity and professionalism; ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Self-motivated with a collaborative mindset to support team objectives.
