Curriculum Alignment Specialist

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interpret United States state and national standards for K-12 education.
  • Guide curriculum developers in aligning content with the specified standards.
  • Review and provide feedback on curriculum materials to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts in mathematics, science, social studies, and English language arts to develop high-quality educational content.
  • Conduct training sessions for curriculum developers on understanding and applying United States standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of curriculum materials in meeting educational standards.
  • Provide ongoing support and clarification to curriculum developers regarding standards interpretation.
  • Identify gaps in standards alignment and propose solutions to address these gaps.
  • Cross-walk different sets of standards to ensure comprehensive alignment across various frameworks.
  • Work with AI tools to improve their accuracy in interpreting and generating standards-aligned content.
  • Develop and refine AI prompts to ensure the generation of high-quality educational materials.
  • Collaborate closely with curriculum developers and alignment specialists in the United States to ensure cohesive and consistent curriculum alignment.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in education or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with United States state and national standards (e.g., Common Core, NGSS, C3 Framework).
  • Strong understanding of curriculum development and instructional design.
  • Expertise in one of the following subject areas: Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, or English Language Arts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of AI prompting and experience in working with AI tools for content generation.
  • Strong preference for candidates with:
    • Teaching experience in the United States education system.
    • Experience working with international teams.
    • Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for curriculum development.
