What is this role about?
This role will assist the Accounting Manager (Tax Administration and Compliance) in preparing relevant schedules and files as required to comply with statutory and corporate requirements and to resolve tax issues as they arise (for SEAOIL and/or its affiliates).

What will YOU do?

  1. File monthly and quarterly returns (Bureau of Internal Revenue Forms 1601E, 2550M, 2550Q, and 2000).
  2. Prepare and file monthly and quarterly schedules of Expanded Withholding Tax (EWT) and Value Added Tax (VAT), i.e., Monthly Alphalist of Payees (MAP), Quarterly Summary List of Sales, Purchases and Importations, Semestral List of Regular Suppliers, and Summary Alphalist of Withholding Agents of Income Payments Subjected to Withholding Tax (SAWT).
  3. Gather pertinent data from the Accounting Assistant (Affiliates).
  4. Classify transactions based on the required information in the tax return, i.e., nature of payment and alphanumeric tax code.
  5. Compile relevant supporting documents needed for tax claim details, e.g., Tax Identification Numbers (TIN's) and addresses of suppliers and customers.
  6. Submit tax schedules through electronic submission as validated using Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) alphalist data entry program and relief data entry system.
  7. Process creditable withholding tax certificate (BIR Form 2307).
  8. Prepare and issue Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Form 2307 based on the schedule of monthly alphalist of payees (on or before the 20th of the month following the end of the taxable quarter) or upon request of the payee.
  9. Monitor timely submission/filing of Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Returns (for Affiliates) as per statutory deadline.
  10. Assist in preparation of relevant schedules for the resolution of outstanding Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) audits.
  11. Assist in the BOI annual reportorial requirements.
  12. Perform other related functions that may be assigned from time to time.

What will YOU need?

  1. Bachelor's degree holder in Accountancy, Finance, or other related courses.
  2. Must know basic accounting and tax principles.
  3. Must be knowledgeable in using MS Office and/or Google Suite applications.
  4. Must be willing to do occasional fieldwork.
  5. Must be willing to travel domestically for deployment and other assignments.
