Procurement Supervisor

The Procurement Supervisor oversees the entire procurement cycle, ensuring processes are efficient, cost-effective, and adhere to company policies. This position includes crafting and executing procurement strategies, fostering supplier partnerships, negotiating agreements, and enhancing procurement systems to align with the organization's goals. The Procurement Supervisor is tasked with creating a strategic framework for acquiring indirect and direct goods and services. This role involves leading a team of procurement personnel, managing supplier sourcing and negotiations to achieve optimal pricing, overseeing supplier contracts, and enforcing procurement policies and standards. The supervisor also ensures strong processes and governance are in place to support both business goals and operational demands. The Procurement Supervisor holds a strategic leadership position, focused on promoting sustainable procurement practices, minimizing risk, and ensuring that procurement efforts align closely with overall business objectives.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities- Design and enforce sustainable procurement strategies, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce costs through integrated supply agreements.
- Guide the creation and tracking of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure supplier performance.
- Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships, lead contract negotiations to achieve cost savings and service excellence, and conduct regular supplier assessments to ensure adherence to company procurement standards.
- Manage procurement technologies and systems to ensure alignment with internal policies, legal regulations, and compliance standards. Oversee procurement budgets, implement cost-saving initiatives, evaluate market risks to maintain supply chain resilience, and collaborate with finance and legal teams to ensure contract accuracy and integrity.
- Lead and mentor the procurement team, deliver training to stakeholders on procurement best practices, and cultivate a culture of ethical behavior, teamwork, and ongoing improvement.
- Strengthen internal and external communication, clearly articulate procurement strategies, and present major initiatives and updates to senior leadership.
- Approve purchase orders for superior's checking and ensure proper documentation.
- Negotiate vendor contracts and achieve cost savings.
- Track vendor performance and compliance with agreed terms.
- Ensure centralized procurement policies are implemented and followed.
- Resolve procurement disputes and discrepancies in coordination with the Accounting Managers.
- Analyze and evaluate approved purchase requests (PRs) from the Sky Group.
- Verify the qualifications and legitimacy of new vendors and suppliers.
- Manage the supplier accreditation process.
- Conduct canvassing and solicit quotes or proposals from vendors, if needed.
- Analyze bids, negotiate terms, and recommend awarding orders to suppliers.
- Forward purchase requests, quotations, and bid summaries to top management for approval, if needed.
- Issue approved purchase orders (POs) to suppliers and track deliveries.
- Verify timely delivery of items and ensure quality, quantity, and pricing meet all standards.
- Collaborate with the inventory management team to ensure deliveries align with purchase orders.
- Handle purchase documentation, payments, and coordinate with the Accounting Managers for accurate and timely processing.
- Maintain accurate purchase records in the system and create POs.
- Address any delivery, product quality, or warranty concerns.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the superiors.
- A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 3–5 years of progressive experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles, including a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or managerial position.
- Demonstrated expertise in supplier negotiations, contract administration, and strategic sourcing.
- Solid understanding of procurement policies, risk assessment, and sustainable sourcing practices.
- Skilled in using procurement tools and ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Competent in data analysis, risk evaluation, and developing cost-efficient procurement strategies.
- Excellent negotiation, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
