What is this role about?

This role will manage industrial packages that need special handling such as industrial bids and bulk orders delivered via vessels/barge, and assist the team in improving and shaping the business strategies through ad-hoc analysis.

What will YOU do?

  • Assess data from a variety of sources to gain insights into pricing strategies and market trends by mapping out the supply design and storage capacity of competitors.
  • Analyze competitor pricing and market trends to increase market share and profitability by analyzing different pricing mechanisms of competitors (e.g. estimating the formula price used by competitors and their target margins to set price to beat).
  • Monitor customer engagement to develop effective pricing strategies for products and offerings by asking customer feedback with regards to the offer through the help of frontline.
  • Apply statistical modeling methods to determine the potential impact of pricing strategies on profitability by generating scenarios and recommending appropriate pricing actions to ensure we hit our margins target.
  • Recommend pricing strategies that align closely with market trends and identify new market segments by determining competitive price benchmarks (i.e. floor price).
  • Forecast revenue and market share based on market trends, production costs, profit margins, and sales volume to determine current profitability and attainability of company-wide volume and margins target by analyzing price competitiveness considering internal and external supply-demand factors.
  • Collaborate with sales/marketing and supply departments on developing and implementing competitive pricing strategies by ensuring all costs basis (e.g. premiums, biofuels, etc.) are properly accounted in creating industrial bid offers.
  • Develop dynamic pricing tools to effectively respond to changing market needs and trends to speed up and streamline the assessment of pricing strategies by identifying gaps, inefficiencies in processes, developing necessary measures and procedures to address identified issues, and properly implementing the identified corrective activities.
  • Maintain informed on pricing analysis methods and industry trends to effectively price the products considering the market insights received by coordinating with other departments such as SUPP, Trading, MDP, and Sales Team to gather current market intel (international/local).
  • Perform other functions that may be assigned from time to time.

What will YOU need?

  • At least 3 years of experience in pricing - with at least 2 years of people management experience.
  • Must have keen attention to detail.
  • With strong sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability.
  • Must be a graduate of BS Math, Economics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering or any related course.
