In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Software Developer, you'll participate in many aspects of the software development lifecycle, such as design, code implementation, testing, and support. You will create software that enables your clients' hybrid-cloud and AI journeys.

Your primary responsibilities include:

  1. A Developer in Cloud FullStack (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) will assist in the execution of a project by working with a senior level resource on assigned development/deployment activities. This can be designing, building, and maintaining cloud environments focusing on uptime, access, control, and network security using automation and configuration management tools.
  2. Proficient in all the layers of application development and would be required to stitch together end-to-end applications either in on-premises environment or on the Cloud for our clients, starting from front-end development, back-end development, middleware integration and persisting data in NoSQL or RDBMS database.
  3. Would be very hands-on with coverage of various skills related to all the layers - front-end skills like Angular, React, CSS3, HTML5, backend skills like Java, JEE, Spring, Hibernate, Groovy, middleware skills on the REST/SOA services, APIGEE or APIConnect along with RDBMS and NoSQL skills for persistence.
Required education

Associate's Degree/College Diploma

Required technical and professional expertise
  • Demonstrated programming proficiency and experience with 1 of the following (Java, C++, Python, Scala, R, SAS, SQL, Hadoop, HTML, SPSS, VBA, Tableau, Spark, Angular, ReactJS), as well as systems design/development, and information technology course work.
  • Exposure to web services, API and Java application frameworks such as Springboot.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with generative AI modeling, ethics, and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Microservices architecture, infrastructure concepts and cloud platforms AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, and Google Cloud.
  • Candidate must have strong work experience in Fullstack Development, using AWS Cloud Platform.
  • Should have at least 1 year experience with AWS.
  • Must be open to work on any of IBM locations (Quezon City and/or Cebu).
  • Open to work on a client dictated shift (day, mid, night).
Preferred technical and professional experience
  • JLPT N1-N3 Certification
