Job Description:

EG is seeking a talented and enthusiastic professional to join our team based in Manila. You will join a team of designers and marketing professionals responsible for servicing and supporting EG's Sydney operations. The successful candidate will assist the marketing team by visually communicating our brand across all communication channels.

To be successful in this role, you must be an enthusiastic self-starter with strong work ethic and have a high attention to detail. You will take pride and ownership in the role, and be confident to work unsupervised, juggling multiple priorities within tight deadlines.

English communication skills will be essential as you read and digest information in order to make it visually compelling for your audiences and communicate with colleagues in both the Philippines and Australia.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (preferable but not essential)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the brand with attention to voice, tone, look and feel
  • Create visual graphics, maps, illustrations and infographics
  • Etch, edit and manipulate photos
  • Create social media content (image tiles and videos)
  • Create email marketing campaigns via third party platforms (Campaign Monitor, MailChimp, etc)
  • Create custom PowerPoint slides
  • Design and layout of long documents including accurately managing rounds of changes from multiple sources
  • Manage and maintain a range of key documents, ensure consistent file storage
  • Create basic videos using raw footage, photos, effects, sound, supers and other elements
  • Work with internal team members to determine design requirements and advise them with regard to design style, format, print production and timescales

Essential Skills:

  • 5+ years graphic design experience with a desktop publishing focus
  • Extremely high attention to detail
  • Comfortable with working in a team environment with constant input, feedback and ideas from other stakeholders
  • Managing multiple competing deadlines with quick turnaround
  • Must have advanced/business professional English literacy (written and verbal communication)

Technical Skills:

  • Adobe Creative Suite - Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro.

Key skills include:

  • Photo editing and manipulation – etch and edit photos to create corporate headshots
  • Illustration - turning data and graphs into highly visual communication, development of infographics, developing graphs, charts and maps that visually communicate ideas traditionally in text
  • Layout – working in InDesign to create long document utilizing text and images
  • Video – trimming, editing and assembling raw footage to tell a story, creating and editing basic motion graphic animations

Proficient Microsoft Office Applications:

  • Microsoft Word – managing the layout of long documents
  • PowerPoint – creation of brand templates and custom slides
  • Outlook – efficient email and time management

Regarded highly but non-essential:

  • Photography – interest and skill in photography and/or videography
  • WordPress Website Management – ability to manage content through a CMS
  • UX/UI Design – understanding of user experience and user interface principles, with the ability to create intuitive and visually appealing digital experiences.
