The Corporate Compliance Manager ensures that the organization operates within the legal framework of Philippine laws and international gaming regulations. This role is responsible for monitoring compliance with all regulatory requirements, implementing ethical practices, and maintaining integrity in business operations. The manager ensures that the company adheres to guidelines set by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) and other relevant authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to PAGCOR regulations, Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA), and other relevant gaming industry laws. Monitor and address compliance risks related to online casino and gambling activities.
  2. Policy Development and Implementation: Develop and enforce internal compliance policies to manage risks specific to online gambling and gaming operations. Implement measures to ensure fair play, responsible gaming, and ethical marketing practices.
  3. License Management: Oversee the acquisition and renewal of gaming licenses, ensuring compliance with PAGCOR requirements and deadlines. Maintain accurate documentation for regulatory inspections and audits.
  4. Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance: Develop and implement AML policies and procedures tailored to gambling operations. Monitor transactions for suspicious activities and file reports to the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) when necessary.
  5. Internal Audits and Monitoring: Conduct regular internal reviews of gaming operations, marketing, and customer data to ensure compliance with laws and company policies. Collaborate with IT and security teams to maintain system integrity and prevent fraud.
  6. Training and Awareness: Provide compliance training to employees, particularly on AML, customer data protection, and ethical conduct in the gambling industry. Promote a culture of compliance and responsible gaming among staff.
  7. Collaboration with Regulatory Bodies: Serve as the primary point of contact for PAGCOR and other Philippine regulatory authorities. Address inquiries, investigations, or audits conducted by government agencies. Investigate breaches of compliance or ethical standards, recommend corrective actions, and implement necessary changes to prevent recurrence. Handle customer complaints related to compliance issues.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field; a background in gaming or gambling regulations is highly preferred.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in corporate compliance, risk management, or legal advisory in the gambling or gaming industry.
  3. Knowledge of PAGCOR regulations, AMLA, and international gaming laws.

Skills:

  1. Strong understanding of gambling compliance requirements in the Philippines.
  2. Excellent analytical skills to identify risks and enforce regulatory adherence.
  3. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and regulatory bodies.
  4. Proficiency in compliance reporting and policy development.

The role is primarily office-based, with occasional travel to PAGCOR offices or other regulatory bodies. Flexible working hours may be required to align with the operational demands of the gambling industry.
