We are looking for a Structural Steel Detailer to produce accurate fabrication drawings and technical documentation for a diverse range of structural steel projects. The ideal candidate for this role should be skilled in interpreting engineering and architectural drawings, proficient in Auto desk Advance Steel, and able to deliver precise, high-quality documentation that supports constructability. This role is critical for ensuring drawing accuracy, supporting fabrication teams, and keeping projects aligned with required timelines and technical standards.
What You'll Do
You'll be the kind of person who:
- Develop detailed 2D fabrication drawings for structural steel projects using Auto-desk Advance Steel
- Interpret and decipher engineering and architectural drawings to produce accurate documentation
- Prepare and issue shop drawings and related documentation for fabrication and construction use
- Communicate professionally with clients and internal stakeholders via email and phone
- Use Microsoft Office applications for documentation and project communication
- Work within project timelines to deliver accurate, high-quality drawings
- Contribute to improvements in design and drafting processes
- Support coordination with fabricators and builders to ensure constructability
- Maintain organized drawing files, revisions, and project documentation.
