About the role

The Junior Trader will be responsible for executing and assisting the Treasurer in the daily execution of cash management activities.

• Execute and assist with daily cash management activities, including fund transfers, investment decisions, and balance monitoring.
• Develop and maintain accurate cash flow forecasts to ensure the bank has sufficient funds for its operations.
• Assist Treasury Manager in monitoring and managing the bank's liquidity position, interest rate risk, and foreign exchange exposure, with a view on P&L, regulatory requirements, and operational needs.
• Prepare reports on treasury activities, liquidity management, and risk exposure.
• Assist in the setup of the logistics of the Treasury activities of the Bank.
• Identify opportunities to improve treasury operations and suggest efficiency enhancements.
• Stay updated on financial markets and industry trends that may impact the bank's treasury activities.

Must haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Accountancy, or related field.
• Certified Treasury Professional is an advantage.
• Banking experience 1-5 years (Finance or Treasury).
• Possess general knowledge, skills, and competencies on finance and treasury related to the Banking industry.
• High proficiency in Excel.
• Ready to adapt to new technologies to increase productivity.
• Good verbal and written communication skills as liaising with various units within the bank is a necessary part of the job.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
