JOB SUMMARY
The Procurement Head is responsible for overseeing the entire procurement process, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with company policies. This role involves developing and implementing strategic procurement initiatives, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing procurement systems to support organizational goals.
The Procurement Head plays a key leadership role in driving sustainable procurement practices, mitigating risks, and aligning procurement operations with business objectives.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
● Develop and implement sustainable procurement policies while identifying cost-saving and efficiency opportunities through integrated supply agreements.
● Lead the development and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for supplier performance.
● Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiate and finalize agreements to maximize cost savings and service efficiency, and conduct supplier evaluations to ensure compliance with company procurement policies.
● Oversee procurement systems and technology to ensure compliance with organizational, legal, and regulatory requirements. Manage procurement budgets, drive cost reduction initiatives, assess market risks for supply chain stability, and ensure contractual integrity through collaboration with finance and legal teams.
● Lead and develop the procurement team, provide stakeholder training on best practices, and foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and ethical procurement.
● Build strong internal and external relationships, ensure clear communication of procurement strategies, and present key initiatives to executive management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION & BACKGROUND)
● Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
● Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
● Proven experience in supplier negotiation, contract management, and strategic sourcing.
● Strong knowledge of procurement regulations, risk management, and sustainability initiatives.
● Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar platforms).
● Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
● Ability to analyze data, assess risks, and implement cost-effective procurement solutions.
● Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
