The position will assist the manager and the company in delivering high-quality legal related tasks by conducting research, drafting documents, managing case files, and ensuring compliance with legal procedures in coordination with external legal counsel for both corporate and labor related cases. This role is critical in maintaining efficiency and accuracy within the department.

  • Legal Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct thorough research on statutes, case law, regulations, and legal precedents.
    • Summarize findings and provide recommendations to external legal counsel.
  • Document Preparation:
    • Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, affidavits, and correspondence for both corporate and labor related cases.
    • Assist with preparing discovery responses, motions, and briefs.
    • Assist in reviewing company policies, procedures, and employee handbook revisions that has legal implication. And endorse to legal counsel for comments as needed.
  • Case Management:
    • Organize and maintain case files, including electronic and physical documentation.
    • Track deadlines, court dates, and filing requirements to ensure timely submissions.
  • Client Interaction:
    • Serve as a point of contact for clients, ensuring their questions are addressed and documents are obtained as needed.
    • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all client interactions.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Manage schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements for legal counsel as needed.
    • File documents with courts and other legal entities, both electronically and in person.
  • Support in Investigations:
    • Assist in internal investigations and audits related to compliance breaches or regulatory inquiries
    • Collect and organize evidence or documentation as needed
  • Compliance and Due Diligence:
    • Conduct background checks, corporate filings, and due diligence reviews.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in law, political science, legal management or equivalent; Paralegal Certification from an accredited program preferred
  • Experience:
    • At least 3 years of experience as a paralegal or in a related legal support role
    • Familiarity with corporate law is a plus
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience with case management software is preferred but not required
  • Key Attributes:
    • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
    • Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines
