Job Description
About the job
Reporting directly to the Inspiration and Communication Manager, Ikano Retail Philippines, you will be responsible for using the IKEA business priorities, knowledge of our range, online and offline consumer trends, national market, competition and customers' living situations to drive and develop solutions now and in the future of IKEA Philippines. Additionally, you will support the Marketing function to achieve communication excellence, sales growth and profitability. Specialist knowledge shall also be utilized in print production work, advertising and PR efforts in the country.

Your assignment
Responsible for the development of Advertising
  1. Plan and manage the production and implementation of advertisement, ensuring that all materials are in line with the IKEA Concept documentation.
  2. Ensure optimal reach and frequency spends across online and offline display platforms, with accurate delivery to the intended audience reach in the most effective channels while meeting KPIs set.
  3. Work closely with SO and Local marketing, SO Sales, and e-commerce, IKEA Food teams to ensure accuracy of products and information and achieve business and commercial goals, drive web and store visits, increase home furnishing interest and elevate awareness/personality of the IKEA brand.
  4. Contribute to evaluating external advertising media opportunities & proposed store activities by the Local Marketing & Communication Managers in the country. Assist in partner collaborations that support the advertising campaign, staying locally relevant and achieving business goals such as visitation and average ticket.
Responsible for the (Commercial) Public Relations function:
  1. Manage the development of the country's Public Relations campaign delivery through the message house, key focuses and mandatories. Secure country level relationships with media.
  2. Manage IKEA product recalls and the development and pricing coordination of collection press kits for the country.
  3. Lead the PR agency and be responsible for media content, overseeing that the local media receives releases and up-to-date, accurate information about IKEA including conceptualizing, planning and executing PR events, media launches, and media interviews as necessary to secure strong engagement with the media for each campaign launch. Management of all spokesperson, interviews and press conferences for the country.
  4. Together with Corporate Communications, assist to ensure that the country crisis plan is followed so that the team is well prepared to handle media crises e.g. products that are faulty and might cause injury to customers.
  5. Tracking PR coverage and share of voice monthly versus competitors for the country.
Budget Management
  1. Responsible to secure the planned marketing budget to the commercial calendar and to ensure accurate year-to-date marketing spent to BN and Finance on a monthly basis.
  2. Contributor to contract negotiation in the market relating to the function.
  3. Secure purchasing in your function is made according to the principles defined in the Procurement Policy: Operational participation in procurement projects. Compliance with sourcing requirements, IWAY Working Method and signed agreements.
Qualifications
Your profile
  1. Has the customers' interest at heart, is service-minded and has a great sense of urgency.
  2. Highly self-motivated with a passion for marketing and communications to drive results with consistent messaging.
  3. Experience in marketing and branding, conceptualizing campaigns, logical abilities, and copywriting.
  4. Experience with each offline and online channel's guidelines and understanding of each media technicalities.
  5. Experience in public relations tasks and media relations to build the brand.
  6. Knowledge of trends, proven solutions, translating global into local market relevant solutions that influence home furnishing and retailing.
  7. Knowledge of the IKEA concept, brand objectives, values and vision, tone of voice in order to translate that into strong messaging.
  8. Budgetary experience – administrative work, evaluation of costs, monitor, follow-up and adjust as needed. Meticulous with an eye for details and highly organized by nature.
  9. Possess a creative mindset and ability to challenge common ways of thinking.
  10. Ability to communicate and share creative ideas, concepts and solutions and combine commercial, aesthetics and practical skills.
