Responsibilities

• Consult with patients to learn about their symptoms and physical condition
• Identify movement dysfunction and develop a treatment plan
• Educate patients/ interns how to perform therapeutic exercises, use modalities, and equipment
• Perform appropriate physical assessments, manual therapy, and exercises
• Use appropriate modalities and other treatments to promote healing
• Keep track of patient goals and progress
• Maintain patient records and document progress
• Help with mentoring and learning from each other within the team (staff, admin, interns)
• Referring patients to appropriate doctors and other allied medical professional team
• Communicating to the doctors regarding patient’s progress
• Help with other roles if needed (administrative, marketing, research)
• Keep physical therapy skill updated and evidence based. Staff will also attend trainings from The Filipino Physio Academy for free, and will help/ assist during the training and preparation
• Providing mentorship and guidance to help the intern navigate the work environment, develop their skills, and achieve their learning objectives.
• Providing regular and constructive feedback on the intern's performance, progress, and areas for improvement.
