As a Construction Paralegal, you are responsible for:

• Subcontractor Contracts
  • Coordinate the drafting/signing of Subcontractor Contracts (based on our standard contract template and input from Project Management for the specific Subcontractor and Project).
• Subcontractor Insurance
  • Coordinate the collection of Subcontractor insurance policies.
  • Coordinate the collection of Subcontractor Certificates of Insurance (COIs) for specific project.
  • Coordinate the tracking of the above information in our software platform.
• Contract Compliance
  • Coordinate compliance with requirements in customer contracts with Project Management, Accounting, and HR.
• Prevailing Wage Compliance
  • Data verification on Sign-in Sheets and certified payroll reports submitted by the Employees and Subcontractors.
• Section 3 and MWBE Reporting
  • Monthly, Quarterly and Annual MWBE and Section 3 reporting for various contracts.
• Section 3 Compliance
  • Maintain internal reporting regarding Section 3 requirements.

What You Need:

• Experience with legal contracts in the construction industry and compliance required.
• Experience with Construction insurance in New York is preferred.
• Experience with DocuTrax or Jones (subcontractor compliance software) preferred.
• Strong Excel skills (specifically Pivot Tables and Lookups).
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
