LOCATION: National Office

Main Purpose of the Job

To manage (plan, organise, lead and control) the Seda ICT Support Services Sub-Unit, including maintaining, supporting, backing up, and optimizing key functional areas such as service support, telephony, and resolving hardware, software, applications, and systems related incidents.

Key Performance Areas
  1. Benchmark ICT Support Services best practices and advise on ICT
  2. Develop and implement Seda's ICT Support Service standards, guidelines, and procedures in line with approved Seda requirements
  3. Manage Seda ICT Service Desk and Incidents
  4. Manage outsourced ICT Support Services through Contracts
  5. Manage the implementation of ICT Support services projects
  6. Manage ICT Support Service finance and procurement in line with ICT strategic plan
Required Minimum Education
  • Matric (NQF Level 4) plus a B Tech (NQF Level 7) or Bachelor Degree (NQF Level 7) in Information and Communication Technology coupled with recognised industry certifications
  • Honours Degree (NQF Level 8) or Postgraduate Diploma (NQF 8) in Information and Communication Technology, with recognised industry certifications as an added advantage
Required Work Experience
  • 6-8 years' experience in ICT environment, with at least three (3) years at Team Lead level, maintaining ICT Support Services
  • Comprehensive experience as an ICT Support Service management specialist
  • Prior experience in network management, scripting, and system administration
  • Thorough knowledge of developments in the ICT industry
  • Understanding of ICT governance frameworks and quality standards such as COBIT and ITIL
  • Knowledge of ICT acquisition processes and principles
