Job Overview

The Marketing Automation Specialist is responsible for delivering automated personalised experiences to our
customers to drive cross sell, engagement and retention. They will report into the Marketing Automation Lead
and will be part of the high-performing CVM team that is obsessed with spreading 'BIG (customer) LOVE'.
The Marketing Automation Specialist is passionate about building personalised experiences and driving value
through state-of-the-art marketing technology. Alongside the Senior Marketing Techology Manager, they are
the expert in the Marketing team when it comes to enabling marketing technology such as Salesforce
Marketing Cloud and Segment CDP to build personalised journeys. With their expertise and hands on
approach, the CVM team can deliver engaging journeys through email, SMS, push, in app and web.

The Marketing Automation Specialist is a stakeholder in the development of existing and new Marketing
Technology. They will work closely with the Senior Marketing Technology Manager on projects deploying new
technology that will drive personalisation and retention. Next to that, they will be a key stakeholder in projects
that focus on leveraging machine learning and decisioning to enhance customer journeys and engagement.
The Marketing Automation Specialist constantly looks for automation at scale, and will actively coach and train
peers within the CVM and broader Marketing team on Marketing Automation Technology. They will be the first
to adapt new automation features and be responsible for training and onboarding Marketing Automation
Specialists.

Key metrics include: NPS; CLV; customer revenue; profitability of base; ARPU; churn (hard, soft, inactives);
cost to serve; 1:1 offers; campaign performance; App penetration and app engagement.

Key Accountabilities

  • Design and develop automated triggered journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pendula and Segment CDP
  • Drive engagement and retention through email, SMS, Push, In-App and Web
  • Stakeholder in the development of existing and roll out of new marketing technology
  • Drive projects focused on leveraging machine learning and decisioning to enhance customer journeys and
    engagement
  • Train and coach Marketing Automation Specialists and CVM peers
  • Super Admin of Salesforce Marketing Cloud

Requirements

  • 7+ years' Marketing Automation experience
  • Advanced Salesforce Marketing Cloud expertise (HTML, CSS or Javascript)
  • Previous experience within the FMCG, telco, banking and insurance sectors will be highly regarded
  • Experience using a Customer Data Platform (CDP) e.g. Segment
  • Experience using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
  • Alteryx experience preferred
  • Pendula experience a plus

Professional/ Technical Skills

  • Fluent in SQL and amp-script coding language
  • Tableau experience preferred
  • Expertise managing the customer experience and end-to-end customer lifecycle journeys and communications
  • In app and web personalisation
  • Python or similar code
  • Commercially minded and results-driven
  • Customer-centric philosophy and approach to marketing
  • Exceptional time management, attention to detail and project management
  • Workflow management e.g. JIRA
