The Qualifications We Seek
- 3-5 years of professional experience in data engineering, database management, or a comparable data-focused technical role
- Intermediate to advanced SQL expertise, including complex queries, CTEs, joins, data extraction, validation, and analysis across multiple data sources
- Working proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience developing, debugging, maintaining, and enhancing data-related scripts
- Practical experience with AWS and cloud-based data technologies; knowledge of MySQL, Amazon Redshift, Athena, and S3 is preferred
- Ability to quickly adapt to established data platforms, cloud technologies, and workflows in fast-paced data engineering environments
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) may also be considered where cloud knowledge and technical skills are transferable
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving complex data and database issues
- Open to a 6-month project-based engagement
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve issues requiring data engineering or database-level intervention
- Analyze technical and data-related tickets to identify root causes and determine appropriate solutions
- Develop and implement technical fixes and data solutions based on identified issues
- Provide stakeholders with accurate data and effective technical resolutions to address reported concerns
