JOB DESCRIPTION:

Senior operations manager who demonstrates a combination of leadership, strategic thinking and operational expertise. Develops and implements operational strategies that align with organizational goals. Has deep understanding of business process. Leverages analytics and KPI's to monitor performance and inform decision making. Skilled in conflict resolution and fostering collaboration across departments. Lead the operations team to ensure efficient and effective management of daily operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Develop and implement operational strategies to align with the company's strategic goals.
  2. Oversee the development and implementation of operational procedures and policies.
  3. Monitor and manage operational costs to ensure profitability.
  4. Collaborate with other department heads to ensure smooth operations across all departments.
  5. Identify operational challenges and develop solutions to overcome them.
  6. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  7. Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and employee satisfaction.
  8. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  9. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to the operations team.
  10. Develop and manage the operations budget.
  11. Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality products and services.
  12. Coordinate with the HR department for recruitment, training, and development of operations staff.
  13. Implement risk management strategies to mitigate operational risks.
  14. Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to understand customer needs and align operations accordingly.
  15. Ensure the operations team is equipped with the necessary tools and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  16. Foster a culture of safety within the operations team.
  17. Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
  18. Participate in industry events and conferences to stay updated with the latest operational trends and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in operations leadership.
  2. Demonstrate a strong understanding of operational procedures and policies.
  3. Exhibit strong strategic leadership skills, which are good to have for effective decision-making.
  4. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead the operations team.
  5. Exhibit strong problem-solving skills to overcome operational challenges.
  6. Demonstrate a strong understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  7. Possess excellent budgeting and financial management skills.
  8. Exhibit strong negotiation skills to manage vendor relationships effectively.
  9. Demonstrate a strong understanding of risk management strategies.
  10. Possess excellent project management skills to manage multiple operational projects simultaneously.
  11. Exhibit strong customer service skills to ensure customer satisfaction.
  12. Demonstrate a strong understanding of continuous improvement methodologies.
  13. Possess excellent team management skills to foster a positive work environment.
  14. Exhibit strong analytical skills to analyze operational data and make informed decisions.
  15. Possess a certification in operations management or a related field, which would be a good to have.
  16. Demonstrate a strong understanding of sales and marketing strategies to align operations accordingly.
  17. Possess excellent time management skills to manage operational deadlines effectively.
