A Mechanic in logistics inspects, repairs, and maintains fleet vehicles and material handling equipment to keep supply chains moving safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
Diagnoses mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
Services warehouse machinery like forklifts, motorized pallet jacks, and electric counterbalances.
Maintains logs of repairs, parts inventory, and service schedules to comply with safety standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or vocational training/technical course in automotive technology.
TESDA Automotive Servicing NC II or similar trade certifications are a strong advantage.
Hands-on background in diesel or gasoline engine troubleshooting within a transport, warehouse, or logistics setting.
A valid professional driver's license is often required for testing fleet vehicles.
