About the Role:
The Legal Manager - Compliance will oversee and manage the compliance framework for LH Paragon, Inc. (LHPI) and assist with the compliance matters of its subsidiaries. This involves ensuring strict adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance Management:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the compliance framework, policies, and procedures across the holding company and subsidiaries.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify and address gaps.
Regulatory Liaison:
- Act as the primary point of contact with regulatory authorities.
- Ensure timely submission of regulatory filings and reports.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations and advise the organization accordingly.
Legal Advisory:
- Provide legal guidance on compliance-related matters, contracts, and transactions.
- Support business operations by addressing legal concerns related to governance and compliance.
- Draft and review legal documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
Training and Awareness:
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees across all subsidiaries.
- Promote a culture of compliance by raising awareness of company policies and legal requirements.
Incident Management:
- Investigate and respond to compliance breaches or violations.
- Develop corrective action plans and monitor their implementation.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with department heads, legal teams, and external counsel to align compliance practices.
- Collaborate with internal audit teams to ensure effective compliance monitoring.
Reporting & Special Projects:
- Prepare regular compliance reports for senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Provide updates on compliance risks, audits, and regulatory developments.
- Work on special projects related to compliance.
Qualifications:
- Member in good standing of the Philippine Bar
- At least 2 years of experience in compliance, corporate law, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine corporate and regulatory laws.
- Experience working with law firms, holding companies, or multi-subsidiary organizations is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in drafting legal documents and managing regulatory filings.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
