Job Description:

• Acts as on-site resource to individuals students and groups accessing computer laboratory
• Opens and/or closes the computer lab and provides for the general cleanliness, safety and security of the laboratory area.
• Reports maintenance problems to the Physical Facilities Department as they occur
• Enforces procedures for the use of the laboratory area and the use of equipment, supplies, materials, software, hardware, and peripherals
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses basic problems with computer equipment
• Performs regular maintenance and repair on equipment
• Responds to questions from students, staff, and faculties with information relating to the computer laboratory
• Maintains records of activities undertaken in the computer lab which includes tracking the information of students utilizing the lab, determining what class students are taking and how long the computer is used by students
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Department: College of Computer Studies

Work experience: 1 year work-related experience

Eligibility: Preferably Civil Service Professional

• Ability to build working relationships with co-worker.
• Committed to continuing personal/professional development

Educational requirement: At least graduate of BS Computer Science or Information Technology or its equivalent

The Quezon City Polytechnic was created on March 1, 1994 by virtue of the City Council Ordinance No. SP-171 an institution to primarily undertake the training and development of qualified technicians and skilled workers.The Three-Year Technician Curriculum was introduced in the SY 1994-1995 designed to develop highly competent technicians for industry in the areas of Automotive Technology, Electrical Technology, Welding Technology, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Technology, and Fashion Technology. Right now, QCPU prides itself in providing employment to its graduates and serves as a tool for national development, particularly in Quezon City.Under the leadership of Mayor Feliciano Belmonte, Jr., starting SY 2005, meaningful access to higher education is now possible with a ladderized concept of pursuing higher education.
