Job Description

Alibaba Cloud, established in September 2009, develops highly scalable cloud computing and data management services providing large and small businesses, financial institutions, governments, and other organizations with flexible, cost-effective solutions to their cloud transformation needs.

In addition, Alibaba Cloud has launched a local data center in the Philippines. The new data center provides local customers with faster access and more reliable cloud services, while also helping to drive the development of the local digital economy.

Summary

We are currently seeking a talented Cloud Solution Architect to join our Alibaba Cloud Philippines team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in cloud computing and pre-sales experience, with a strong understanding of industries such as finance, retail, internet, or government.

Responsibilities

  1. Work closely with the business development team to understand customer requirements and provide technical solutions that meet their needs.
  2. Design and architect cloud solutions that align with customer requirements and provide value-added cloud services.
  3. Conduct presentations and demos to showcase the benefits and features of Alibaba Cloud services to potential customers.
  4. Provide technical guidance to customers on cloud migration and cloud-based solutions.
  5. Lead the technical strategy at the CxO level and provide both front line and back office support (pre-sales capacity).
  6. Engage and drive technical program leadership within communities and industry events.

Position Requirement

  1. At least 5 years experience in a client-facing role, with a strong technical background.
  2. Familiarity with any of the major public cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
  3. Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures, such as IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and hybrid cloud.
  4. Experience with cloud migration projects and a strong understanding of cloud migration methodologies and tools.
  5. Familiarity with industries such as finance, retail, internet, or government and their cloud computing needs.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and customers.
  7. Ability to demonstrate execution of a technical strategy to CxO Level.
  8. Be fully mobile, often visiting our clients for meetings and workshops.
  9. Candidates with any Cloud provider certificate will be an advantage.
