Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Billing Manager at the operational manager level to lead our billing department. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of medical billing operations, including staff management, process improvement, and revenue cycle management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the financial health and efficiency of our organization.
Responsibilities:- Lead and supervise the medical billing team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance and productivity.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize billing processes, streamline workflows, and maximize revenue collections.
- Oversee the timely and accurate submission of claims to insurance companies, government payers, and other third-party payers.
- Monitor billing performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including revenue cycle management, finance, and clinical departments, to resolve billing-related challenges and promote operational excellence.
- Stay abreast of changes in healthcare regulations, coding guidelines, and payer policies to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Conduct regular audits and quality assurance reviews to ensure the integrity and accuracy of billing data and documentation.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management to communicate billing performance, trends, and recommendations.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience or more in medical billing, revenue cycle management, or healthcare finance, with at least 5 years or more in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements and achieving measurable results in revenue cycle optimization.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and empower team members to achieve organizational goals.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including executives, physicians, and frontline staff.
- Must have experience managing a healthcare account.
- Ability to work in an office setting.
