Description of role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced software QA test analyst to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality and functionality of our software applications through thorough manual testing. The test analyst will work closely with developers, business analysts, and other relevant stakeholders to identify, document, and track defects to resolution, ensuring that our software meets high-quality standards.

To be successful as a test analyst you should have a passion for detecting and solving problems and an eagle-eye for detail along with the ability to see the overall picture. An excellent test analyst has in-depth knowledge of software development and superb analytical skills.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO:

  1. Develop, document, and execute test plans, and test cases based on the business and functional requirements.
  2. Perform functional, regression, system integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) on web and mobile applications.
  3. Identify, document, and track software defects using a bug tracking tool such as Jira.
  4. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and provide feedback on potential risks and quality concerns.
  5. Perform exploratory testing to identify unexpected issues and edge cases.
  6. Validate fixes and perform regression testing to ensure software changes and enhancements did not introduce new issues.
  7. Support UAT by coordinating with business users and stakeholders.
  8. Provide detailed test reports and communicate testing progress and issues to the QA Manager/Lead and development teams during DSUs.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Diploma in Systems Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  2. 2+ Years of experience as a software test analyst.
  3. ISTQB Foundation Level Certification or Advanced Level.
  4. Experience with Test Case Management Tools and Defect tracking tools such as Jira.
  5. Experience in Agile Methodologies.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
  7. Experience in testing Web applications, APIs, and mobile applications (iOS/Android).
