Requirements

What You'll Do:
  • Assist in daily operations of the accounting department, including ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements, maintaining alignment with GAAP.
  • Assist in development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports in a timely manner; identify trends, advise company on financial health, and support strategic planning efforts.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and manage relationships with external auditors and financial stakeholders.
  • Support budget and forecast preparation activities and collaborate with department heads to optimize financial planning and cost management.
  • Manage cash flow, oversee bank reconciliations, and ensure accurate financial documentation and reporting.
  • Lead initiatives to improve financial systems, including automation and process enhancements.
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or Master's degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting role, ideally within a real estate or financial services context.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Commercial Real Estate.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and legislation.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, capable of managing diverse tasks and projects.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, Yardi Voyager and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
