Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop ETL using SSIS
  • Develops advanced BI applications using the MS BI stack including SSAS, SSIS, T-SQL/stored procedures as well as MDX
  • Analyzes and improves existing SQL Queries
  • Designs and develops Business Intelligence solutions using multidimensional cubes including MOLAP and ROLAP
  • Provides training and expertise to business users and other stakeholders on utilizing SSAS cubes for their reporting needs
  • Works closely with the Data Architecture team and provides technical design recommendations on the data mart structures which support analytical applications
  • Works with business users and other stakeholders to understand business processes and translates them into functional and non-functional specifications for BI solutions
  • Identifies problem trends and corrective actions and documents these through modification of existing best practices guidelines
  • Provides expertise and guidance to other developers in the use of the toolset
  • Perform the day-to-day functions such as running of existing programs, applications, jobs, reviewing logs for errors, writing or editing software and code, performing testing activities, and updating documentation
  • Query and index optimization using query analyzer and other SQL optimization tools
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of SQL Database experience
  • 3+ years of Cloud experience - building and shipping production software in a scaled distributed environment in public cloud
  • 3+ years of hands-on MS SQL development
  • 3+ years of experience in creating SQL scripting from scratch
  • 3+ years of experience in building an SSIS script from scratch and connecting SQL to a data source
  • 3+ years of experience in working on ground up projects
  • Databases: Experience with both relational and non-relational databases
  • Tooling: Skilled in utilizing necessary tools to maintain quality code, optimized performance, and system efficiency
  • Communication: Proven excellent technical communication skills with peers and non-technical colleagues
Preferred Qualification
  • Familiarity with IBM Cognos reporting tool and JavaScript
