Job Summary:

Responsible for providing financial analysis and insights to business units to help business leaders understand their financial situations, identify opportunities and risks, and to help them make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Partnering:
  1. Drives structured performance meetings with key stakeholders to ensure constant alignment with current performance vs targets, forecasts being carried out balancing risks and opportunities as well as timely escalation of issues/risks for proper mitigation.
  2. Prepares the operating business plans together with the Business Unit Heads and leads work efforts related to the financial forecasts and overall budget to ensure profitability standards are met and internal financial controls are in place.
  3. Acts as Bids and Awards Committee Chairman for major procurement items within the business unit.
Financial Reporting and Driving Performance:
  1. Monitors the business unit's performance against the operating business plans.
  2. Oversees the financial reporting function, including the review of reports generated for internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Analyzes and reports the financial statements to management and identifies supplementary financial or operational reports, as needed.
  4. Ensures that the business unit is operating within approved budgets.
  5. Enforces proper financial controls and makes necessary changes, if any.
  6. Reviews investment management-required reports.
Driving Compliance and Risk Management:
  1. Reviews and signs tax returns and other compliance requirements.
  2. Signs off on external audit requirements.
  3. Analyzes business unit requirements related to finance.
  4. Stays abreast and updates management and related operating units of new accounting standards and proposes necessary changes in the corporate financial model/forecast as necessary to manage financial and other risks.
  5. Ensures alignment of policies and procedures with the conglomerate.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or Finance; MBA is an advantage.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant and/or Chartered Financial Analyst, an advantage.
  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in finance in the real estate industry.
  • Knowledge in finance, accounting processes & control principles, ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports.
  • Well-versed in Philippine Financial Reporting Standard (PFRS) and statutory reporting.
  • Has experience using an ERP and Microsoft Office; Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptive, teamwork and collaboration, amicable.
